App: Spy Phone® Caller ID & Lookup (iOS)
We respect your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we
use it, and the choices you have when you use the App.
What the App does
Reverse phone lookups for U.S. numbers (name/line type/carrier/country
when available).
One-tap blocking & identification using Apple’s Call Directory
framework (you decide which numbers to block or label).
On-device history (“Lookups”) so you can quickly revisit numbers you searched.
Information we collect
1) Information you provide
Numbers you search in the App.
Numbers you choose to block or identify (label).
Optional: feedback or support messages you send to us.
2) Information stored on your device
Blocked numbers and identification labels (for iOS Call Directory).
Recent Lookups (number + saved name) for your convenience.
These are stored locally on your iPhone. You can delete single items
or clear all at any time.
3) Information processed to deliver the lookup
When you request a lookup, we send the phone number to our backend to
query trusted providers for available caller details. Our backend may
log:
the number being queried,
date/time of the request,
basic technical data (e.g., IP address) used to operate and secure the service.
4) Subscription & purchase info (if enabled)
If you purchase a subscription, Apple may provide us with
non-sensitive transaction metadata through our subscription provider
(RevenueCat) to validate entitlements (e.g., active/expired). We do
not receive your full payment card details.
5) Authentication
The App may use Firebase Authentication (including anonymous auth) to
create a basic app account for entitlement and credit tracking. We do
not require you to enter personal profile details.
How we use information
Provide reverse lookup results you request.
Maintain your subscription/credits and enforce lookup limits.
Enable and refresh iOS Call Directory blocking and identification for
numbers you choose.
Improve reliability, prevent abuse, and support the App.
We do not sell your personal information.
Legal/acceptable use
You agree not to use the App or the data provided to stalk, harass,
discriminate, or for any unlawful or objectionable purpose. Results
are provided for informational purposes and may vary by
number/provider.
Data sharing
We share data only as needed to provide the service:
Lookup providers receive the number you look up to return caller information.
RevenueCat (if subscriptions are used) receives limited
transaction/identifier data to validate entitlements.
Apple processes purchases and may provide non-sensitive purchase
information to us/RevenueCat.
Service providers we engage for hosting, analytics, and support, under
agreements that protect your data.
We do not sell data to third parties.
Data retention & deletion
On-device: You can delete individual Lookups or clear all. You can
remove blocked/identified numbers at any time.
Server-side: Lookup logs and credit/account records are retained only
as long as necessary to operate the service and meet legal
requirements.
You may request deletion of backend data by contacting us (see
“Contact”). We will take reasonable steps to honor your request,
subject to required retention.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards
(e.g., restricted access, network protections). No method of
transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Children’s privacy
Our App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age
required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal
information from children.
Your choices & controls
Block/Unblock & Identify/Remove: You control which numbers are blocked
or labeled.
Clear history: Remove individual Lookups or clear all.
Subscription: Manage or cancel in Settings > Your Name > Subscriptions (Apple).
Data requests: Contact us to request access or deletion of backend
data associated with your account.
Website cookies (if you visit our site)
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies (including
third-party ad/analytics cookies). You can control cookies in your
browser. For details and opt-out of interest-based ads, visit
aboutads.info. These website practices do not apply to the App itself.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll change the
“Effective date” above and, where required, notify you in the App or
on our site.
