Be that as it may, it is your responsibility to know who your child is conversing with and, if need be – protect them from that person in one way or another.

How does viewing and downloading contacts help you with that? Well, it's rather simple, really. Once you install the app, one of the first things you'll notice is that the app allows you to gain a full insight into the contact list of the target device. Not only will you be able to see every contact from the control panel on your device or a computer, but you will also be able to see the number and also how recently the number was added to the list. This feature allows you to learn who is on the other end of the line. It does so by accessing what is called a YPhone Data. Loosely translated, accessing this data will give you a brief overview of the person on the other side. You will be able to learn their name and address, alongside many other things. Unfortunately, even a well-developed feature such as this one has its limitations. Namely, not every US number can be reverse-tracked due to things that aren't in our own control. However, most of them can be. Therefore, although small, we have to say that there is a real chance that this feature turns out to be ineffective.

GPS Tracking

GPS phone tracking allows you to know exactly where your kid is – at all times. It doesn't matter whether it is 2 am or 2 pm – you are only a click away from knowing the exact whereabouts of your child. This almost entirely eliminates the constant worry all parents experience when their child is absent. It doesn't matter whether your child has gone to school or to the mall with friends - your parental instincts will kick in and have you worry about them no matter what. To be perfectly candid, we are not saying you will stop worrying once you install this app, but you will never again have to wonder where your kid is.

To make this feature work, you will have to make sure you have the GPS location turned on, on the target device. Without it, this feature will not be able to work since there will be no way to determine the phones precise GPS coordinates without it. This does make it possible for your child to “sabotage” your efforts to keep them safe, but that is just something you will have to find another way to deal with.

Either way, if the GPS is on, the location of the target device will be automatically refreshed every half hour. If you want, you can manually refresh the location every time you please, but even if you forget to do it – the app will do it on its own.

GPS Fencing – Coming Soon

GPS tracking is not the only feature that utilizes the GPS chip that every phone has. GPS fencing is a new and exciting feature that we are proud to announce will be launched on both iOS and Android in the near future. At the moment, it is not available to our customers, as is it is still in the final stages of testing and development, and we wouldn't want to launch a buggy feature, especially when it comes to important things like the safety of your child. Because of it, we urge you to be patient for just a little bit more, while we put the finishing touches on the GPS fencing feature, so that we can deliver you with one of the first, fully-functioning GPS fencing apps on the market.

If you can't tell by the name, GPS fencing is a feature that utilizes the location of the target device in a similar fashion like GPS tracking does, only with an added feature many of you have patiently been waiting for. Basically, this feature allows you to set up a radius you consider is safe for your child to be in and to receive a notification any time your child leaves the said location. As you can see, that is where the term "fencing" comes from.

Generally speaking, you would be setting up a virtual fence that your child should stay within, and if they don’t – you will be prompted by a notification from the app that your child has left it. There are many possible scenarios in which this feature could turn out to be useful.

For starters, you will enjoy knowing that your kid is safe and sound at all times and that they won't try and sneak off to places you wouldn't want them to. Also, it will limit your child's ability to lie to you about their whereabouts. For instance, you know how you used to lie to your parents about going to your friend's house to study, but instead, you were at a house party at a completely different friend's house. Well, that will no longer be possible to your kid because you could virtually just place a GPS fence around the house your child is supposed to be in, and if they're not there – you'll know. Finally, this will prevent your kid from skipping school, as you'll, once again, be able to set a perimeter around the school and see whether your child stays there or not.
